Namasteh!
Dr. Kathy Singh is the founder of Yukta Yoga. Yukta Yoga is a complete practice which transcends the boundary of the body to touch the soul and to nourish the mind. She has been teaching and practicing yoga for more than 20 years she offers many of the classes herself to be part of the exciting journey of your soul.
The theory of Yukta yoga is based on four concrete pillars:
"T
o Know" is the study of
basic yoga philosophy.
"To Be" is to be present in the moment, to know the significance of now.
"To Become" is to embody a pose, is not doing but becoming.
"To Give" is to participate in the unconditional exchange of energy. It is to learn the importance of giving in order to receive.
"Yoga is so simple, so complete, and so effective. Yoga is the union of self with the universe."
-Dr. Kathy Singh
If you think you're stuck with painful arthritis, old sports injuries, back alignment issues or failing muscles, think again! While we will never make claims to "healing" people through Yukta Yoga, you'll find that thousands - even millions - of people through the ages have seen incredible improvements in their health, vitality and longevity though its simple and consistent practice. Yukta Yoga (literally meaning the balance between the "sun" and the "moon") offers a veritable worldwide legacy of physical and spiritual strength and calming peace.
About
Kathy Singh, PHD in Esoteric Studies"I allow my heart to explore the holiness that is inborn within my totality. I have the deepest reverence and admiration for my being as a spark of divine energy. I am not an accident, existence needs me. When I start to move in yoga, I become a divine ray of light. I move with great respect and honor towards me and my limitations. I let go of all unrealistic demands and all harsh expectations and I practice to be... I remember there is no becoming... I explore the holiness of being me, and with my head bowed to the healing energy, I whisper "Allow me to be Me."
The above quote serves as the core of Yukta Yoga- practiced daily at the Karma Centre. But what does Yukta Yoga even mean? A Sanskrit word, Yukta quite simply means, "he who has attained a communion with the supreme energy pervading the universe. This type of Yoga helps in self-healing and self-transformation, unifying all the conflicting forces within and uniting with a greater source of energy in order to reach a peaceful awareness. This automatically allows the “life force” to slow in and create internal healing. Once one attains this point, all rules, thinking, and discrimination disappear while a new non-thinking, non-judging self starts to take over. This is thinking not to think. This is the fruit of Yukta Yoga.
Through out the years, Karma Centre has become a sanctuary for many people as it gives them a haven to focus on naturally healing the mind, body, and soul.
The main goal at Karma Centre is to lead people to touch their inner most layer while searching and finding the real healer- the true Guru who that only exists within our hearts. This is the true essence of Dr. Kathy Singh’s Practice at the Karma Centre.
Dr. Kathy Singh is the founder and director of Karma Centre in Irvine California, where she teaches Yukta Yoga, Meditation, and Reiki. Her love for meditation started at the very young age of sixteen and through the field of meditation, she came to know about yoga. What the Students Say...
"It was Kathy's unique combination of calming yoga and meditation moments at the end of each class that kept me coming back to The Karma Centre. I'd taken yoga in other studios and at health clubs, but this was the first time I experienced such a departure from the more demanding, fast-paced aerobic style.
